I am a Detroit, Michigan-area consumer bankruptcy attorney who works to protect the rights of the individual within our legal system. A graduate of the Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, I also have a Master’s degree in International & Comparative Law from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. I practiced in Washington, DC for two years after completing my education before deciding to return to my home in the Detroit area to help my fellow Michiganders through this very troublesome economy. For two years, I headed my own practice, The Law Offices of John M. Hilla, PLLC, before moving on to work with another bankruptcy firm and then, afterward, agreeing to head up the bankruptcy department at the law firm of Aronoff & Linnell, PLLC in Keego Harbor, Michigan.
I believe that everyone deserves the same opportunities for justice and equal rights within our legal and financial systems. Regardless of your background or your needs, I will treat you with the respect you deserve and the attention you require. Customer service is my number one priority with any client, and I make it my business to be available when you need me to be.
I am a member in good standing of the Michigan Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
